IPL 2024 updated points table, Orange Cap & Purple cap after match 20 & 21 MI vs DC & LSG vs GT
Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants won their respective games in the IPL 2024 on April 7.
In first match of the double header on April 7, Mumbai Indians (MI) hosted Delhi Capitals (DC) in 20th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and posted a huge total of 234/5 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Veteran MI opener Rohit Sharma provided a quick-start, smashing 49 off 27 balls. He along with left-handed batter Ishan Kishan (42 off 33 balls) added 80-run partnership for the opening stand. While, skipper Pandya (39 off 33 balls), Tim David ( 45* off 21 balls) and Romario Shepherd ( 39* off 10 balls) chipped in at the back-end of the Mumbai innings.
While chasing 235, DC opener Prithvi Shaw (66 off 40 balls) Abhishek Porel (41 off 31 balls) and Tristan Stubbs’ unbeaten knock of 71 runs off just 25 balls was not enough as Capitals lost the match by 29 runs.

In the second match of the blockbuster Sunday, where Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) hosted Gujarat Titans (GT), LSG all-rounder Marcus Stoinis hit a fine fifty, while Nicholas Pooran played a cautious knock of 32 runs in 25 balls to guide the hosts to 163/5 against the visitors.

LSG pacer Yash Thakur was the star of the match as he took a five wicket-haul derailing GT batting line-up while chasing. In the end, Rahul Tewatia’s short cameo of 30 in 24 balls didn’t matter much as the hosts won the one-sided contest by 33 runs.
