Delhi Capitals jumped to sixth spot in IPL 2024 points table following win over GT.
The 32nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Delhi Capitals (DC) was a one-sided contest. DC won the toss and chose to bowl. While everyone was expecting the game to be competitive, DC bowlers were sensational with the ball. They completely stifled GT batting lineup. GT batters could not get going. They were dismissed for mere 89 in 17.3 overs. Amid all the chaos, Rashid Khan emerged as the only source of optimism for the Titans. He managed to score 31 runs off 24 balls.
While chasing, DC wasted no time in responding to the challenge. They effortlessly chased down the score in just 8.5 overs. GT didn’t stand a chance against DC in a one-sided clash. Following their win over GT, the visitors DC not only earned two valuable points, but also boosted their NRR to climb a few positions on the IPL 2024 standings. Captain Rishabh Pant, who won Player of the Match award and head coach Ricky Ponting will be pleased with the performance of their team.
