IPL 2024 updated points table, Orange Cap & Purple cap after match 47 KKR vs DC

KKR added two more points to their tally in IPL 2024 points table.
After winning the toss opting to bat first, Delhi Capitals (DC) were stopped at 153/9 by the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match No. 47 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Eden Gardens on April 29.
The Capitals scored 67/3 runs in the powerplay. However, visitors kept losing wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings as their skipper Rishabh Pant (27) and Kuldeep Yadav (34*) were their top run getters in the innings. With the ball, KKR spinner Varun Chakravarthy finished with 3/16 in his quota of four overs.
While chasing 154, Kolkata lost three batters – Philip Salt (68), Sunil Narine (15), and Rinku Singh (11) inside 10 overs as the hosts reached 104 runs at the half stage in response to DC’s first innings total. However, skipper Shreyas Iyer (33*) and Venkatesh Iyer (26*) stitched an unbeaten match-winning partnership of 43-ball 57 as the hosts registered a comprehensive win by seven wickets.
IPL 2024 Updated Points Table:

After winning the match against Delhi, KKR strengthened their position at second spot on the table with 12 points and NRR of 1.096. After a defeat in Kolkata, DC stayed at the sixth spot with 10 points and a negative NRR of 0.442.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals continue to stay at the top with 16 points and are almost through the playoffs. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Lucknow Super Giants are slotted in the third, fourth, and fifth positions with 10 points each.
After the end of match No. 47 between KKR and DC, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are positioned at the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively in the IPL 2024 standings.
IPL 2024: Most Runs (Orange Cap)

After the end of KKR vs DC clash, there were two changes in the IPL 2024 Orange Cap leaderboard. Capitals skipper Pant, who smashed 27 runs jumped to the fourth position with 398 runs to his name. Whereas Kolkata opener Salt, who hammered a match-winning 68 leapfrogged to the fifth spot with 392 runs.
Meanwhile, RCB opener Virat Kohli continues to stay at the top with 500 runs. CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad remained at the second position with 447 runs in the Orange Cap leaderboard. GT young batter Sai Sudharsan finds himself at third place with 418 runs to his name.
IPL 2024: Most Wickets (Purple Cap)

After the end of the one-sided contest between KKR and DC, there were no changes seen in the Purple Cap leaderboard.
Mumbai pacer Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead the chart with 14 wickets. While Chennai pacer Mustafizur Rahman and Punjab pacer Harshal Patel remained in the second and third spots with 14 scalps each,.
CSK overseas speedster Matheesha Pathirana and RR leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal are slotted in the fourth and fifth positions respectively. Both players have 13 wickets each after the end of match No. 48 in the ongoing tournament.
