IPL 2024 updated points table, Orange Cap & Purple cap after match 63, GT vs KKR

The GT vs KKR IPL 2024 match was washed out due to persistent rain on May 13.
It was an unfortunate end for the fans, as the match No. 63 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was washed out due to persistent rain at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 13.
With this washout both Gujarat and Kolkata will get one point each. However, Shubman Gill-led GT are eliminated from the playoffs race of the ongoing season, whereas Shreyas Iyer-led KKR ensured the top two finish in the points table.

After rain washed away the GT vs KKR clash, two-time champions Kolkata continued to stay at the top with 19 points to their name. KKR have already qualified for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Shubman-led Gujarat remained in eighth place with 11 points and negative NRR of 1.063. Gujarat have been knocked out of the ongoing tournament as they can get to maximum of 13 points in the league stage.
Rajasthan Royals are ranked second with 16 points to their name. They are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are positioned third and fourth with 14 points each. However, Chennai have higher NRR as compared to Hyderabad.
After the end of match No. 63, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals hold their fifth and sixth spots with 12 points each. Lucknow Super Giants are placed seventh with 12 points.
On the other hand, five-time champions Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings are languishing at the bottom of the points table. Both Mumbai and Punjab are already out of the ongoing edition.

As rain washed out the GT vs KKR match, there were no changes in the IPL 2024 Orange Cap leaderboard. Bengaluru opener Virat Kohli continues to stay at the top with 661 runs to his name. Chennai skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is ranked second with 583 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head and GT opener Sai Sudharsan hold onto third and fourth positions with 533 and 527 runs respectively. Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson is slotted fifth with 486 runs to his name.

After rain washed out the Gujarat vs Kolkata fixture, there were no changes seen in the IPL 2024 Purple Cap Leaderboard.
Mumbai veteran pacer Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top with 20 scalps. Punjab Kings’ seamer Harshal Patel is ranked second with 20 wickets in the ongoing season. Kolkata’s spinner Varun Chakarvarthy is placed third with 18 scalps.
On the other hand, Delhi speedster Khaleel Ahmed and Chennai pacer Tushar Deshpande are slotted at the fourth and fifth positions respectively, with 16 wickets each in the ongoing tournament.
