After winning the match against Lucknow, Rishabh Pant-led Delhi jumped to fifth spot with 14 points and NRR -0.377. With this victory, Delhi are still in contention to reach the IPL 2024 playoffs. However, they have played all their league stage matches and Delhi have to depend on results of other teams.

After suffering a crucial defeat in New Delhi, KL Rahul-led Lucknow remained at the seventh spot with 12 points and negative NRR 0.787. With this loss, their chances to qualify for the playoffs are very slim.

Meanwhile, the Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders continue to stay at the top with 19 points. The two-time champions Kolkata are already qualified for the playoffs. Rajasthan Royals are ranked second with 16 points and after Delhi’s victory against Lucknow, they became the second team to qualify for the playoffs.

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad hold third and fourth spots with 14 points each. Chennai are ranked higher because of higher NRR as compared to SRH.

Following Delhi’s win over Lucknow, Royal Challengers Bengaluru slipped down to sixth place with 12 points to their name. Bengaluru’s NRR is 0.387.

On the other hand, last year’s runners-up Gujarat Titans, five-time champion Mumbai Indians, and Punjab Kings are the three bottom teams in the IPL 2024 standings. All three franchises are already out of the playoffs race.
