IPL 2024: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 14 MI vs RR
Rajasthan Royals won match 14 of the IPL 2024 against Mumbai Indians by six wickets.
In the match No. 14 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 1, the visitors stopped the hosts for just 125/9 runs in 20 overs. After opting to field first, Royals pacers gave a stunning start as MI found themselves at 20/4 inside first five overs. Left-arm speedster Trent Boult picked up two wickets in the very first over as both Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir departed for golden duck.
Again subjected to booing by fans, MI skipper Hardik Pandya responded with a 21-ball 34, while Tilak Varma chipped in with 32 in 29 deliveries. Boult bowled finished his quota of four overs with 3/22. Yuzvendra Chahal ended with excellent figures of 3/11. Mumbai eventually managed to reach 125 runs and avoided all-out against RR.
While defending 126 runs, hosts got an early wicket in the very first over as young pacer Kwena Maphaka took the wicket of RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for 10. Royals skipper Sanju Samson departed for 12 runs as pacer Aakash Madhwal provided hosts to their second breakthrough inside powerplay. At the end of the first six overs, Rajasthan smashed 46/2.
However, Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin stitched a valuable partnership of 40 runs before Madhwal took his third wicket as Ashwin scored just 16 runs. In the end Parag’s unbeaten knock of 54 runs helped visitors to win the match by six wickets
IPL 2024: Updated points table
After winning their third consecutive game in the ongoing IPL 2024 edition, RR jumped to the top spot with six points and a positive NRR of 1.249. Meanwhile, MI, who suffered their third consecutive defeat of the season, are languishing at bottom of the table.
KKR have slipped down to second position and now have four points and a NRR of +1.047. Defending champions CSK are placed third with two wins in three games. GT and SRH are at fourth and fifth positions respectively. LSG and DC are at sixth and seventh positions with one win each. PBKS, RCB and MI complete the remaining table with being positioned at eighth, ninth and tenth positions.
IPL 2024: Most Runs (Orange Cap)
After the end of match No. 14, RR’s Riyan Parag, who scored an unbeaten 54 runs against Mumbai jumped to the first spot with 181 runs in the Orange Cap leaderboard alongside RCB’s Virat Kohli, who also has 181 runs to his name.
SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen is at third spot with 167 runs. PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan is at fourth spot with 137 runs followed by DC opener David Warner, who has 130 runs.

After the end of match no. 14, RR’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who took a three-wicket haul against MI, jumped to second spot in the highest wicket-takers list. While Royals ace pacer Trent Boult, who finished the match figure with 3/22 vs Mumbai, takes fifth position.
Meanwhile, CSK’s Mustafizur Raham still holds the top position with seven wickets to his name. GT’s Mohit Sharma is at third spot with six wickets. DC’s left-arm speedster Khaleel Ahmed takes the fourth spot with five wickets to his name.
