IPL 2025: Most runs, most wickets after Qualifier 2, PBKS vs MI

PBKS defeated MI by five wickets in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) clashed in the Qualifier 2 clash of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday, June 1. The PBKS vs MI encounter took place at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. PBKS had a gigantic target of 204 runs to chase in the clash.
PBKS chased down the target and won the match by five wickets to book a berth in the IPL 2025 final. During the chase, PBKS lost openers Priyansh Arya (20) and Prabhsimran Singh (6) cheaply. Josh Inglis slammed quickfire 38 runs. Skipper Iyer slammed a stunning knock of an unbeaten 87 runs to power the team to victory.
Earlier, PBKS skipper Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first. MI opener Jonny Bairstow scored 38 runs while one-down Tilak Varma slammed 44 runs. Suryakumar Yadav (44) and Naman Dhir (37) also added crucial runs to propel the scoreboard to 203/6 in the first innings.

Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 44 runs in the game, has increased his tally to 717 runs and finished as second highest run-scorer of the season. Sai Sudharsan with 759 still leads the chart of top five highest run-scorers this season. Shubman Gill (650), Mitchell Marsh (627), and Virat Kohli (614) are the next batters among the top five highest run-scorers in IPL 2025.

MI pacer Trent Boult, who picked one wicket in the clash, has jumped to the third spot in Purple Cap leaderboard with 22 wickets. Prasidh Krishna is the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2025 with 25 wickets. Noor Ahmad is next with 24 wickets. Josh Hazlewood and Sai Kishore grab the fourth and fifth places respectively.
