RCB star Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for a golden duck in the Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Glenn Maxwell continued his wretched form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as he bagged a golden duck in the Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals (RR).

RR and RCB met in the Eliminator on Wednesday evening at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After being asked to bat first, RCB posted a par total of 172 runs. Maxwell, though, didn’t make any contribution to RCB’s total as he was dismissed for a first-ball duck by off-spinner R Ashwin.

Ashwin dangled a carrot to Maxwell with a carrom ball on full length. Maxwell saw the ball in his arc and went after it even though he hadn’t even had a sighter in this game. He didn’t connect his slog properly and gave a catch to Dhruv Jurel at long-on.

This was Maxwell’s fifth duck in IPL 2024. His five ducks this season are the highest number of ducks a batter has ever secured in a single IPL season.
