Angad and Sanjana were present to support Jasprit Bumrah during MI v LSG IPL 2025 clash in Mumbai.
Sportscaster and Jasprit Bumrah‘s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, took to Instagram to criticize a section of social media for making fun of the couple’s young child, Angad, for his expression during Sunday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
Jasprit Bumrah, a speed bowler, became MI’s highest wicket-taker in the IPL history on Sunday. His four-wicket haul helped his club thrash LSG by 54 runs, their sixth straight victory. To date, the 31-year-old has participated in 139 games for the team.
In March, Sanjana Ganesan and Jasprit Bumrah, who were married in 2021, commemorated their fourth wedding anniversary. In September 2023, they welcomed Angad, their son. Bumrah and Ganesan are one of the most beloved couples among Indian cricket fans, known for their close relationship and modesty.
Angad made his first public appearance during the IPL 2024, where he was seen supporting his father, Bumrah, in the stands.
“Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment.” – Sanjana Ganesan
Sanjana Ganesan, the wife of Jasprit Bumrah, has blasted trolls for making offensive comments about their son Angad. On Sunday, April 27, Sanjana and Angad attended the MI vs. LSG clash IPL 2025 match.
As the fast bowler led MI to a decisive 54-run victory while taking four wickets, pictures of the Bumrah family went viral on social media. However, some individuals made offensive comments about the little child, which caused the couple to respond strongly.
Sanjana addressed the matter on her Instagram account, stating that her son is not a subject for amusement. Additionally, the broadcaster advised viewers to exercise caution when making remarks on Angad and to keep their thoughts to themselves. Bumrah further re-shared the story on his handle as well.
“Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment. Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a despicable, vile place to be, and I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else,” wrote Sanjana on her Instagram story.
“Throwing around words like trauma and depression in reference to a baby says so much about who we’re becoming as a community, and it’s honestly really sad. You know nothing about our son, nothing about our lives, and I request you to keep your opinions online true to that,” she added.

During games, Sanjana and Angad are frequently seen on the ground supporting Bumrah. Fans all throughout the world adored the couple’s photos as they celebrated their victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup with their son.
