Tail-ender Jofra Archer scored the most (30 runs) as rest of the RR batters fell like a pack of cards. Trent Boult and Karn Sharma picked up three wickets for MI. Jasprit Bumrah got two wickets. Can Rajasthan Royals qualify for playoffs after losing to MI?
After the 50th match of IPL 2025, RR have six points in their kitty. The IPL 2008 winners have played 11 games in the season. They have won just three games and lost eight matches. They now have three more games to play in the remainder of the tournament, which has left fans wondering if they still have a chance to make it to the playoffs. The answer is no. RR can’t make it to the playoffs of IPL 2025 from hereon.
Even if they win all of their remaining games in the tournament, the maximum points they will reach will be 12, which won’t be enough for them to make it to the playoffs. Which means, they’ve been eliminated from the playoffs race this season. Notably, RR are the second team after Chennai Super Kings to be eliminated from the playoffs race this season.
After 11 matches, Yashasvi Jaiswal (439) and Riyan Parag (282) are the leading run-scorers for RR. Notably, Jaiswal is also among the top five leading run-getters in the season. Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer, and Maheesh Theekshana account for the most (10 wickets) for the Royals.
