The report further explained that the number of players to be retained before the IPL 2025 mega-auction is likely to be the main focus during the meeting with BCCI and team owners. Some IPL owners believe that the number of retentions should be increased to eight.
Apart from players’ retentions, the franchise owners and BCCI might discuss about to reintroduce the Right to Match (RTM) card for the mega auction.
