IPL teams have registered a significant rise in their brand values

1. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) – US$312 million

RCB won consecutive IPL titles, claimed victories in the IPL 2025 and 2026, becoming only the third IPL team to win back-to-back titles. Recently, the franchise underwent a change in the ownership after an alliance comprising Blackstone, Bolt Ventures, the Aditya Birla Group and the Times of India Group took over the franchise at US$1.78 billion value.
RCB saw a massive 16% increase from their last year’s valuation, when their value jumped from US$269 million to US$312 million over the last 12 months. They became the first cricket team to surpass US$300 million mark in brand value.
2. Mumbai Indians (MI) – US$264 million

Mumbai Indians are five-time IPL champions, winning the title in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. They are ranked second in the valuations. The franchise saw an increase by 9.1% from US$242 million in 2025 to US$264 million in 2026.
3. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – US$245 million

Kolkata Knight Riders are the third-most successful IPL team, with three championships to their name – 2012, 2014, and 2024. Their valuation increased from US$227 million in 2025, to US$245 million in 2026, seeing a 7.9% jump.
4. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – US$244 million

Chennai Super Kings have imprinted their name on the IPL trophy five times – 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023. They are ranked fourth with a brand value of US$244 million, increasing 3.8% from the previous year.
5. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) – US$168 million

Sunrisers Hyderabad are placed fifth with a brand value of US$168 million. Their franchise saw a 9.1 percent increase from the previous year.
6. Rajasthan Royals (RR) – US$161 million

Owned by the Mittal family and Adar Poonawalla at a reported valuation of US$1.65 billion, Rajasthan Royals are stationed sixth on the list with a brand value of US$161 million, up 10.3 per cent from last year.
7. Punjab Kings (PBKS) – US$158 million

Punjab Kings are seventh with a brand value of US$158 million, seeing an increase of 12.1 per cent year-on-year. PBKS are yet to win an IPL title, but have been amongst the consistent teams in the last two years.
8. Gujarat Titans (GT) – US$157 million

Gujarat Titans had won a title in their debut year at the IPL, in 2022. They have reached the final three times in five years. The team is ranked eighth with a brand value of US$157 million, up by 10.6 per cent from last year.
9. Delhi Capitals (DC) – US$156 million

Delhi Capitals, formerly known as Delhi Daredevils, are yet to win an IPL championship. They have featured in all the editions of the tournament. They are ranked on ninth place at US$156 million, representing a 2.6 per cent increase from the previous year.
10. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) – US$122 million

Lucknow Super Giants, owned by Sanjiv Goenka, debuted in the IPL in 2022, alongside Gujarat Titans. LSG are yet to reach the finals. They are 10th with a brand value of US$122 million, unchanged from last year.
