James Anderson snubs Virat Kohli and Steve Smith, names Indian legend as the best batter he has faced

James Anderson will retire from international cricket after playing the first test against the West Indies.
Legendary pacer James Anderson is all set to play his final test match for the England Cricket Team starting July 10. Anderson will be seen in action during the first game of the three-match test series against the West Indies at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
So far, Anderson has picked 700 wickets in 187 matches at an average of 26.52. The legendary English pacer also has 32 five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket hauls to his name.
The 41-year-old pacer will look to surpass Australia’s legend Shane Warne’s (708) wicket tally during the first test match against the West Indies cricket team. The farewell test of Anderson will be played from July 10 to July 14.

The legendary pacer Anderson has a stunning record against India. In 39 Test matches against the Indian cricket team, Anderson has picked up 149 wickets at an average of 25.47.
In India, the 41-year-old Anderson speedster has played 17 Test matches. The right-arm pacer has scalped 44 wickets at an average of 30.27.
Meanwhile, during a Q&A session on Sky Sports ahead of his farewell test, the legendary pacer Anderson snubbed the likes of Virat Kohli and Steve Smith and named legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the best batter he faced during his glorious career.
“The best batter I would have to say is Sachin Tendulkar,” James Anderson said.
The legendary English pacer Anderson dismissed Sachin nine times in test cricket. The master blaster Sachin had scored 208 runs at an average of 23.1.
