LSG's Jaydev Unadkat ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2023 due to a shoulder injury

Another injury concern in the LSG camp as the left-arm pacer, Jaydev Unadkat has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2023 due to a shoulder injury. Previously, in the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore their skipper, KL Rahul suffered a hamstring injury because of which he was not able to take a part in the game until the last wicket of their innings.

Unadkat was going to bowl his first ball in the Lucknow nets on Sunday when he picked up the injury. His left foot got stuck in the ropes after which he had a nasty fall on his bowling elbow. He clutched his left shoulder while still on the ground and was seen with his arm in a sling and an ice pack on his shoulder not long after.

It is learnt that Unadkat travelled to Mumbai for scans and visited one of the specialist consultants appointed by the BCCI. He is expected to recover before the WTC final against Australia, starting on June 7 at The Oval, and is scheduled to fly with the team to England.

Unadkat did not have the best of the seasons so far for LSG as he had gone wicketless in the three IPL games this season and has leaked 92 runs in the eight overs he has bowled.

LSG and CSK eye the top berth in the Points Chart

It's round 2 for LSG and CSK in IPL 2023. The last time these two teams played each other, it was a high-scoring clash in Chennai which CSK won by 12 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway were the major run producers with others chipping in with vital contributions. For LSG, Kyle Mayers was the only half-centurion of the game but the cohesive effort of LSG could not take them across the finishing line.

Playing in their home now, LSG will seek revenge and if they do so, they will be the sure Table Toppers. There has been a slight delay due to light drizzle in Lucknow. Both camps will be eager to go out and get a win under their belt.
