Ben Stokes reveals whether Jofra Archer will play in the Lord’s test
During the post-match presentation, Stokes did not rule out the possibility of Archer being part of the third test at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
“That’ll be a decision we have to make, seeing how everyone comes together. We’ve had him here this week to get around the group and build him up with his workloads and everything. So, everyone’s being considered for the game at Lord’s,” Stokes said.
Notably, Indian skipper Gill confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will be back for the third test. Speaking about facing Bumrah, Stokes said, “We play with each other so often now that we know what to expect. You try to replicate what you’ll face in training, whether through sidearms or coaches mimicking the angles and release points. It’s hard to fully recreate, but you do your best“.
Meanwhile, with India’s victory in the second test, the five-match test series is now levelled 1-1. The third test will commence on July 10 at the Lord’s. Meanwhile, England have announced their squad for the game. Pacer Gus Atkinson has been added to the squad for the next game.
