Josh Hazlewood ruled out of RCB's last IPL 2023 league match vs GT - Reports

Big blow for RCB ahead of their last league match against GT
The Australian speedster, Josh Hazlewood will not feature in Royal Challengers Bangalore's last league of IPL 2023 game against Gujarat Titans slated to take place on 21st May. In an all-important game for RCB, Hazlewood's omission will be a huge blow to the RCB camp. The last league game of IPL 2023 will see RCB host GT at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Notably, Hazlewood started his IPL 2023 campaign a bit late after recuperating from an injury. The pacer will not be a part of this upcoming game due to a recurrence of his heel injury as reported by Cricbuzz. Hazlewood has been a crucial asset for RCB so far and gives an extra edge to the bowling lineup of the team. In a do-or-die game for RCB, Hazlewood's experience would have been invaluable for the team.
Hazlewood has played only three matches this season in which he could pluck out as many wickets only. Known for his economical spells, Hazlewood has given runs at the rate of 8.44. With Wanindu Hasaranga's availability for the selection, it will be interesting to see the four overseas picks by RCB for this high-octane clash.
One big leap to make it to the playoffs for RCB
Staged at fourth position with 14 points, a win for RCB will not be enough if MI wins their game in Sunday's double-header. If MI wins, RCB has to make sure that they win by a good margin to run past MI's NRR. In case MI loses, a win for RCB will earn them the fourth spot. In IPL 2023's final double-header, two important games will be played. Firstly, all eyes will be on the game between MI and SRH and then later on, the caravan will move to Bengaluru for the game between RCB and GT.
An enthralling Sunday awaits us all as the fourth spot remains open until the last match. In its true meaning, a win for RCB here will be a giant leap for them to qualify for the playoffs. Although given the form of RCB at home this season, they have their task cut out.
