KL Rahul reached 4000 runs in the IPL in 105 innings.

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul has reached another milestone in his IPL career. Silent with the bat so far in the IPL 2023, KL Rahul has finally picked his game against Punjab Kings. Rahul with a fifty against Punjab has completed his 4000 IPL runs. KL Rahul is now the quickest batsman to touch the 4000 runs milestone in the Indian Premier League. Rahul has broken the all time record of Chris Gayle. Gayle touched 4000 runs in 112 innings, while Lucknow Captain KL Rahul has taken only 105 IPL innings to become the quickest to score 4000 runs.

Consistent since the last few seasons in the IPL, KL Rahul became the 14th Batsman overall and 11th Indian to go past the 4000 runs mark in the IPL. Apart from KL Rahul, there are several Indian players in the leading run-scorers list. Only David Warner, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle are the only three foreign batsmen to have scored more than 4000 runs in the league. Before KL Rahul, Chris Gayle was the quickest with 112 innings. David Warner took 114 innings, Virat Kohli took 128 innings and AB de Villiers took 131 innings to reach the same milestone.

He also has 4 centuries and 32 half centuries. He played an inning of 74 runs against Punjab Kings at a Green Top wicket of Ekana Stadium. Rahul’s inning helped Lucknow set a target of 160 runs. Rahul smashed 8 fours and one six in his inning against PBKS.
