LSG captain KL Rahul went past long standing record of RCB star Virat Kohli.

Lucknow Super Giants‘ captain KL Rahul has finally started scoring after a few failures at the beginning of the IPL 2023. Chasing 136 runs against Gujarat Titans, KL Rahul has given Lucknow a decent start with Kyle Mayers. KL Rahul has also completed a milestone in his T20 career. He completed his 7000 career runs in T20 cricket. Along with this, He also became the quickest Indian to complete 7000 T20 runs. Rahul broke Virat Kohli’s record. KL Rahul required 14 runs before the Gujarat Titans game.

Rahul has become the 7th Indian and quickest Indian batter to touch the 7000 runs milestone. Rahul broke Virat Kohli’s record by 15 innings. Virat Kohli took 212 innings to complete his 7000 T20 career runs, while KL Rahul took only 197 innings to complete his 7000. This is the fastest by an Indian batter in terms of innings. KL Rahul is one of the most consistent batters in the Indian Premier League. KL Rahul in 197 has smashed 6 centuries and 60 fifties in his career. Rahul also has 2 international centuries under his name. For India, He played 72 games and scored 2265 runs.

Along with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, and Shikhar Dhawan have scored more than 7000 runs in their respective T20 careers. Wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik is also in line to become the 8th Indian batter to complete 7000 runs in T20 cricket. Overall, a total of 41 batters have scored 7000 or more runs in T20. Virat Kohli is the leading Indian batter in T20 cricket. He has scored 11605 runs in 349 innings with 6 centuries and 89 half-centuries.
