KL Rahul slammed his ninth century in test cricket for India.

In the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Indian Cricket Team opener KL Rahul has stepped up for his team in the ongoing first test against the England Cricket Team. The opening game of the five-match series between the teams is taking place at Headingley in Leeds. 

KL Rahul, who showed great promise in the first innings, made sure that he played a vital innings for his team in the second innings. The opening batter thrived under pressure and has given his team a solid chance to win the first game of the series. 

Opening the innings, KL Rahul looked pretty solid with the bat right from the start. The right-hander, in the last session of the third day, played some gorgeous drives and looked pleasing to the eye. But he was made to work hard in the first session of the ongoing fourth day. 

On a day which has been overcast and the conditions for batting being very difficult, KL Rahul oozed his class with the bat. He respected the good balls and ensured that he held the fort for his team, scoring runs as well to make sure India takes a healthy lead. 

KL Rahul first slammed a solid half-century, and when his team needed him to score big, he delivered and registered a classy ton. The opening batter got to his ton in 202 balls, registering his ninth century in the longest format of the game.
