India cricketer KL Rahul & wife Athiya Shetty purchase ₹20 crore apartment in Mumbai

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot in January 2023.

Indian cricketer KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Suniel Shetty have purchased a lavish apartment in the Pali Hill area of Bandra, Mumbai. According to the property registration documents accessed by Index Tap.com, the star cricketer purchased the property for a whopping Rs 20 crores.

According to the official documents, the lavish property purchased by Rahul and his wife Athiya measures 3,350 sq ft. The apartment is located on the second floor of the ground-plus-18-floor Sandhu Palace building in the Pali Hill area. The apartment has four parking spaces.

On July 15, 2024, the Indian cricketer Rahul paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.20 crores and a registration fee of Rs 30,000, according to the documents.

The ground-plus-18 floors of Sandhu Palace have also received a partial occupation certificate from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the documents revealed.

KL Rahul might lead India in upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka

The Indian cricket team are all set to play their first series after lifting the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in June. The Men in Blue will play an away white-ball tour against Sri Lanka. 

The three-match T20I series will be played from July 27 to July 30, whereas three ODIs are scheduled from August 2 to August 7.

Multiple media reports have stated that Hardik Pandya or Surykumar Yadav might lead the Indian side in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. 

Meanwhile, wicket-keeper-batter KL Rahul might lead the Men in Blue in the three-match ODI series, if regular captain Rohit Sharma is not available for the series.
