From 2008 to 2024: List of all Indian Premier League (IPL) winners
Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) kicked off in 2008 as one of the first franchise tournaments that brought the best players from around the world together to play with and against each other. Over the years, the IPL has taken giant steps and is now the biggest cricket league in the world.
The IPL started with eight teams; it was increased to ten teams in 2011. However in the next two seasons, only nine teams participated and once again in 2014, the tournament shifted to an eight-team affair until 2022, where two new franchises were added. There are three teams that have won multiple IPL titles, while some teams haven’t won a single title so far. In this article, we will list all the IPL winners from the inaugural season in 2008 to the last edition in 2024.
