IPL 2024 auction will be held in Dubai on 19th December, 2023.

The trading window in Indian Premier League is set to close on 26th November. With just a few days left before the final deadline, franchises have fast-tracked their negotiations with targeted players. Teams are charting out their strategies before going into IPL mini-auction 2024 that is scheduled to take place in Dubai on 19th December. Lucknow Super Giants have been at the forefront of the trading window and they have already decided on a few big changes in their camp.

West Indian all-rounder Romario Shepherd was the first player to be traded in the ongoing window. Romario Shepherd was traded to Mumbai Indians from Lucknow Super Giants. There have been a few surprising changes in the league so far and fans can witness more surprises before the window finally closes. Let’s have a look at the players who have shifted their base from previous teams in IPL 2024 trading window.

Mumbai Indians have roped in West Indian all-rounder Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants. They made the first call once the trading window opened and have attempted to better their all-rounder department. Romario Shepherd is a decent T20 format player and will surely boost Mumbai’s lower-order batting and also covers Mumbai’s lack of extra bowling option since Pandya brothers have parted ways with the franchise.

2. Devdutt Padikkal – RR to LSG :

Lucknow Super Giants have roped in Indian domestic cricket superstar Devdutt Padikkal from Rajasthan Royals. Devdutt Padikkal will be accompanying captain KL Rahul in Lucknow’s opening batting department. Lucknow now have a ‘problem of plenty’ in the top-order as most of their top-order batters are left-handers. Devdutt Padikkal had a decent association with Rajasthan Royals but he wasn’t a regular player in the XI. Shifting base might help Padikkal in the league.

3. Avesh Khan – LSG to RR :

Lucknow Super Giants are involved in several changes in the trading window. To include Devdutt Padikkal in their camp, Lucknow have let go of their prime pace bowler Avesh Khan. Rajasthan Royals have got a brilliant deal as they needed one experienced Indian pace bowling option apart from Navdeep Saini and Prasidh Krishna. Avesh will be shifting his base to Rajasthan from Lucknow Super Giants. Avesh has played 47 IPL games and picked up 55 wickets.

4. Mayank Dagar – SRH to RCB:

Mayank Dagar was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL auction for 1.8 Crore rupees but he failed to make an impact. Dagar got only three opportunities in Hyderabad camp and couldn’t make himself a permanent in the XI. Sunrisers Hyderabad have now traded in Shahbaz Nadeem to their camp from RCB. They have done a like-for-like replacement as Shahbaz also a left-arm spinning all-rounder. Dagar will be moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore from Sunrisers Hyderabad for the next season in IPL 2024.

5. Shahbaz Ahmed – RCB to SRH:

Royal Challengers Bangalore have traded Shahbaz Nadeem to Sunrisers Hyderabad and brought in Mayank Dagar. Shahbaz Nadeem had a fantastic IPL 2022 and earned his maiden international call-up but RCB looked confused with him in the IPL 2023. Having tried Shahbaz at multiple positions in the batting order and less opportunities as a bowler, RCB finally decided to bring in assigned power-hitter in the lower order and also a left-arm spinning option Mayank Dagar.

6. Cameron Green – MI to RCB :

Cameron Green, Australian all-rounder, has made a significant move in Indian Premier League (IPL), transitioning from Mumbai Indians to Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has scored 452 runs in 16 matches at an average of 50.22, including a remarkable century, he will add substantial firepower to RCB batting line-up. Green’s aggressive strike rate of 160.28 underscores his capabilities with the bat. Additionally, his bowling skills, contributing 6 wickets at an average of 60.17, make him a valuable asset. He was acquired for a staggering ₹17,50,00,000 in the last auction, Green is set to make a dynamic impact on RCB’s campaign in 2023.

7. Hardik Pandya – GT to MI
