List of all players who could be traded before IPL 2027

A few franchises might trade big players ahead of IPL 2027.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the richest franchise T20I league, known for offering expensive contracts to domestic and overseas players. Ahead of every season, an auction takes place that offers handsome salaries to players.
After every three seasons, a mega auction is conducted, in which all 10 IPL franchises spend whopping amounts to buy their favourite stars. Hence, the auction is a very crucial part of IPL tournaments, which helps the franchises to form a dominant team and strengthen their squads.
However, IPL auctions are not the only process through which franchises can rope in big players into their squads. Ahead of every auction, teams can also trade players between them. Often, they exchange players as per their combination and long-term planning. On many instances, players are also transferred with an all-cash deal.
Ahead of IPL 2027, the trend of player transfers has kick-started with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) switching two high-profile names. LSG have traded their former captain Rishabh Pant to DC in exchange for spinner Kuldeep Yadav. A few more trades are expected to take place ahead of the next season and below we look at all of them.

6. Hardik Pandya to KKR/CSK/PBKS

Hardik Pandya captained Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026 but struggled to come up good his performance and leadership.
Pandya is likely to part ways with MI ahead of the next season. As per PTI reports, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have approached MI to acquire Pandya in their squad as they seek a strong captain in the next season.
Under skipper Ajinkya Rahane, KKR witnessed two dismal seasons. KKR are looking forward to swapping Cameron Green with Hardik or going for an all-cash deal. CSK and Punjab Kings are the other two teams interested in capturing Hardik into their squad.
5. Yashasvi Jaiswal to MI

Mumbai Indians struggled with their opening combination in the last season, especially after Rohit Sharma missed a few games due to a hamstring injury. As per speculations, the Men in Blue are interested to rope in Yashasvi Jaiswal from Rajasthan Royals (RR) to form a Rohit-Jaiswal opening pair.
Since Jaiswal hails from Mumbai and has also opened with Rohit on numerous occasions for the national team, MI wish to form a deadly combination of these two domestic openers. Many rumours have claimed that RR have offered MI to trade Pandya with Jaiswal, but since they want a long-term association with Riyan Parag as skipper, the deal is less likely to be converted.
4. Suryakumar Yadav to KKR

Suryakumar Yadav had a recent fall-out with MI, deleting all posts related to the franchise and its name from the bio of his Instagram account.
His social media activity led to rumours that he is looking to switch sides ahead of the next season. Rumours are rife that Yadav might go back to his former team Kolkata Knight Riders, with whom he also won an IPL title.
3. Nicholas Pooran to MI

Nicholas Pooran has been part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the last few seasons. As per reports, MI are looking to make many changes in their squad and are potentially targeting Pooran. The wicket-keeper is among the most successful batters from West Indies and is in the sight of MI batting coach Kieron Pollard.
2. Arshdeep Singh to CSK

CSK witnessed yet another poor season in IPL 2026, failing to make it to the playoffs. Finishing at the eighth spot in the points table, they failed to come good with their performance. One of CSK’s major issues is the pace unit as they lack effective experienced domestic pacers.
As per many media reports, CSK want to induct Arshdeep Singh into their squad ahead of IPL 2027. The left-arm pacer is part of the Punjab Kings but struggled with his performance in IPL 2026 in the latter half, which was also a crucial factor behind PBKS losing many games in a row and missing a playoffs’ berth.
1. Cameron Green to MI

Since Hardik is highly likely to part ways with Mumbai Indians, they would need a strong all-rounder to fill his vacancy. Cameron Green has played for Mumbai in the past and has also hammered a century for the side. Since KKR are also interested in capturing Pandya, MI might bring back Cameron into their squad.
