The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for explosive batting and record-breaking totals. However, many teams have suffered unforgettable batting collapses at least once in the tournament.
In the history of the IPL, every team has experienced at least one nightmare in which their batters lost their wickets like a house of cards.
Notably, all 10 IPL teams have been bowled out for less than 100 runs in the tournament. Moreover, one team was bowled out for less than 50 runs once. On that note, below is the list of the lowest totals of all 10 IPL teams.

Gujarat Titans – 89 (vs DC, 2024)

Gujarat Titans (GT) suffered their worst batting collapse in a clash against Delhi Capitals in the 2024 edition. The Shubman Gill-led side were bowled out for just 89 runs in the first innings in the 32nd match of the tournament at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Later, DC chased down the target by six wickets.
Mumbai Indians- 87 (vs SRH, 2018)

In IPL 2018, the Mumbai Indians (MI) were bundled out for just 87 runs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In a low-scoring thriller, SRH were bowled out for just 118 runs in the first innings.
Mumbai’s batting completely collapsed in the chase, with only Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya scoring in double digits. SRH won by 31 runs thanks to an excellent bowling effort.
Sunrisers Hyderabad- 86 (vs GT, 2026)

Sunrisers Hyderabad‘s lowest total in IPL history is 86 runs. They registered this score against the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026. GT piled up 168/5 in the first innings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. All SRH batters lost their wickets cheaply, with Kagiso Rabada and Prasidh Krishna clinching three-wicket hauls.
Lucknow Super Giants- 82 (vs GT, 2022)

In the 57th match of IPL 2022 against GT at MCA Stadium in Pune, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were bowled out for just 82 runs. This is their lowest-ever total in the tournament. Titans posted 144/4 in the first innings.
In reply, LSG lost eight batsmen for single digits, adding just 82 runs on the board. Rashid Khan clinched a four-wicket haul to dismantle LSG’s batting unit.
Chennai Super Kings- 79 (vs MI, 2013)

CSK’s lowest-ever total of 79 came against their arch-rivals, the Mumbai Indians, in IPL 2013. In a low-scoring clash, Mumbai could only post 139/5 in the first innings, with none of their batters scoring a fifty.
Most of the CSK batters lost their wickets for single digits, thanks to three-wicket hauls by Mitchell Johnson and Pragyan Ojha. Chennai suffered a horrible defeat by 60 runs.
Punjab Kings- 73 (vs RPS, 2017)

Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) clashed with Rising Pune Supergiant in the 55th match of IPL 2017. The Glenn Maxwell-led side succumbed to the pressure in the first innings, getting all out for just 73 runs. Later, Pune won the clash by nine wickets, chasing down the target in 12 overs.
Kolkata Knight Riders – 67 (vs MI, 2008)

Kolkata Knight Riders‘ lowest total came in the inaugural edition in 2008 against the Mumbai Indians. In the 38th match of the tournament, KKR were bundled out for just 67 runs in the first innings, with none of their batsmen crossing the 20-run mark. Sanath Jayasuriya (48*) helped MI to win the clash by eight wickets.
Delhi Capitals – 66 (vs KXIP, 2017)

Delhi Capitals, known as Delhi Daredevils in the 2017 edition, suffered their worst-ever batting collapse against Kings XI Punjab.
The clash took place at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, where Delhi could only score 67 runs in the first innings. Punjab later won the match like a walk in the park by 10 wickets.
Rajasthan Royals – 58 (vs RCB, 2009)

Rajasthan Royals‘ lowest-ever total in IPL history is 58 runs, set against RCB back in the 2009 edition. In the first innings, RCB posted 133/8 with a fifty by Rahul Dravid. Anil Kumble clinched a five-wicket haul to demolish RR for just 58 runs. RCB won the match by 75 runs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 49 (vs KKR, IPL 2017)

RCB’s lowest team total is 49 runs. This is also the lowest team score in IPL history. In the 27th match of IPL 2017 at Eden Gardens, hosts KKR were bowled out for 131 in the first innings.
Despite the low target, Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a humiliating batting collapse in the chase, losing all the batsmen for single digits. 3 KKR bowlers clinched three wickets each to overpower RCB.
