The Sri Lankan pacer had only recently returned to action after recovering from a hamstring injury but walked off the field after bowling just eight deliveries in his comeback appearance. He experienced discomfort in his left calf and hamstring area during the match.
Pathirana has already missed the initial phase of IPL 2026 due to injuries sustained during the T20 World Cup. KKR had waited several weeks for the fast bowler to regain fitness before he finally made his debut for the franchise earlier this month.
