Travis Head got Australian crowd going during the Boxing Day test against Pakistan.

Australian middle-order batter Travis Head did not have a great day entertaining the crowd at MCG with his bat, but his presence in the field has made the crowd go up during the second day of Boxing Day test against Pakistan. Watching a test match in Australia is always a viewer’s delight and when the crowd gets involved in the action the entertainment is guaranteed.

Australian crowd present at the MCG recreated the iconic Ronnie Irani moment with Australia’s new-age hero Travis Head. MCG crowd hilariously imitated Travis Head’s stretches when he was fielding at the boundary and obliged the crowd. It was a viewer’s delight during Boxing Day test and Wasim Akram and Adam Gilchrist also shared a good laugh in the commentary box.

Travis Head gets Australian crowd going

A second-wicket partnership between Abdullah Shafique and Pakistan skipper Shan Masood silenced Australian crowd for some time. But that one instance charged up the fans as well as Aussies in the action and they got their second breakthrough of the innings. Pat Cummins dismissed Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafique right in the next ball.

Travis Head could only manage to score 17 runs with the bat as Pakistan pacers were on the sport earlier on day 2. Aamer Jamal picked up 3 wickets and helped his side restrict Australian on 318 runs. Mitchell Marsh (41) with his fighting knock took Australia above 300-run mark. Marnus Labuschagne was the top-scorer for Australia with 63 runs knock.

Pakistan had a challenging second wicket stand but Abdullah Shafique’s wicket brought Australia back in the game. Babar Azam was brutally castled by Pat Cummins for 1, while Saud Shakeel was dismissed on 9 runs. Pakistan finished the day 2 on 194 for 6 as Mohammad Rizwan (29*) and Aamer Jamal (2*) are still taking on Australian bowlers.
