Top 5 best bowling figures by Mitchell Starc in test cricket

Mitchell Starc made his test debut in 2011.
Since his debut in 2011, Mitchell Starc has established himself as a spearhead of the Australian bowling attack. With over 400 wickets in test cricket, he has surpassed some of the legendary Australian fast bowlers, including Brett Lee, Dennis Lillee, and Mitchell Johnson in the wickets column.
What makes Starc special is his ability to step up in crucial moments. The tall left-arm pacer was the leading wicket-taker for Australia in their 2015 and 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup campaigns.
Starc has been equally impressive in the longest format of the game. When the conditions offer him some help, the left-armer becomes a menace and has the ability to rip up batting line-ups in a space of a few overs.
On that note, let’s look at Starc’s five best bowling figures in tests.

Following that, Starc completed his five-wicket haul in 4.3 overs and took only 15 balls to achieve the feat, which is the fastest in test cricket. Starc finished with figures of 6/9, which helped Australia decimate the West Indies for 27, their lowest total in tests.
