Mohammed Siraj took a total of 23 wickets in the series.
Mohammed Siraj became a hero for India with his incredible spell with the ball, which helped the Indian Cricket Team win the last game of the five-match series against the England Cricket Team. The game between the two teams took place at The Oval in London.
Mohammed Siraj, with his gutsy effort, won the last game of the series for India as he came up with a staggering effort on the fifth day of the match. The match was in favour of England, which in itself says the kind of impact Siraj made.
Mohammed Siraj, who played all five games of the series and bowled over 1000 balls, gave his all on the last day of the series. India needed four wickets to win the game while, England had just 35 runs to score.
However, Siraj looked unplayable on last day of the series as he picked up two wickets in the first two overs. And when Gus Atkinson was putting India under pressure, he castled his stumps to complete his fifer and seal the game for India by just six runs.
I went to Google and found an emoji of believe, I put it on my wallpaper – Mohammed Siraj

While talking about his effort, Siraj said that he believed in himself and after he woke up early in the morning, he put an emoji of believe as his wallpaper. Speaking after the game, he said:
“To be honest, it feels amazing. We wanted to fight hard from Day 1 and to see this result is great. The plan was to keep it simple and hit one spot. When I woke up today I believed that I could do it. And when I woke up in the morning, I went to Google and found an emoji of believe. I put it on my wallpaper and said that I will do it,” Siraj said after the match.
Siraj also shared his take on the catch of Harry Brook, which he dropped. He said that it was a game-changing moment. The pacer also reflected how the defeat in the Lord’s shattered him, revealing Ravindra Jadeja’s message to him. He added.
“If I had taken that (Brook) catch properly probably we may not have had to come today. It was a game-changing moment. But Brook played really well, hats off to him for playing attacking cricket.
“It was a heartbreaking moment (The Lord’s loss). He (Jadeja) was just telling me to play with a straight bat and middle the ball. He told me to remember my father and the hard work he put in to get me here.”
Mohammed Siraj ended the series as the leading wicket-taker with 23 scalps to his name to go with two fifers. He also won Player of the Match in the last game.
