The cash-rich auction of the 17th edition of Indian Premier League was held in Dubai on December 19, and it saw some incredible bids that had never taken place in IPL history. Mitchell Starc broke all previous records and became the most expensive player ever with a deal of INR 24.75 crore from Kolkata Knight Riders.

In 32 IPL matches, he has taken 30 wickets and can bowl over 140 km/h consistently. Lucknow Super Giants signed him for INR 6.4 crores.
4. Kumar Kushagra (7.2 Crore) :

Hailing from Bokaro, Jharkhand, Kumar Kushagra was one of the highest-paid uncapped players at IPL 2024 auction. The wicket-keeper plays for Jharkhand and is known as a hard-hitting batter down the order. He was on trial for Delhi Capitals, and the franchise didn’t hold back to get him. DC bought the 19-year-old for a price of INR 7.2 crores.
3. Shahrukh Khan (7.4 Crore) :

Shahrukh Khan is an established name in Indian domestic circuit. He is a hard-hitting batter who is known for hitting big sixes and has played some excellent innings at the domestic level for Tamil Nadu. He has played 33 IPL matches and he has scored 426 runs. With his reputation, a few franchises were interested in him. Gujarat Titans signed him for INR 7.4 crores at the auction.
2. Sameer Rizvi (8.4 Crore) :

The 20-year-old youngster from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, caught the attention of the cricket fans with a blistering season in UP T20 League. He finished with 455 runs in nine matches, including two hundreds. Sameer saw three IPL teams bidding for him. Eventually, it was Chennai Super Kings who bought him for INR 8.4 crores.
1. Harshal Patel (11.75 Crore) :

Veteran Indian medium-pacer Harshal Patel also attracted a few franchises at IPL 2024 auction. RCB released him, and Punjab Kings signed him for a price of INR 11.75 crores, making him the costliest Indian player at the auction. Being an experienced Indian pacer, he will add value to the team, which may have a good effect.
