On July 7, 2024, MS Dhoni is celebrating his 43rd birthday. The legendary India and Chennai Super Kings captain has been an inspiration and model for a lot of people, given that he rose from a small-town Ranchi to become one of the most popular cricketers in the world.

MS Dhoni was born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, then Bihar, now Jharkhand. MS Dhoni played for India in international from 2004 to 2019, announcing his retirement from international cricket in 2020. Overall, he played 90 tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is for India.

He made 4876, 10773, and 1617 runs respectively across formats with a total of 16 centuries to his name. His highest ODI score was 183* and his highest test score was 224.  

He has been a force in IPL as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings for over a decade and was the most expensive player sold in the first-ever auction in 2008.
