MS Dhoni's IPL bat, Virat Kohli's World Cup jersey to be sold in KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty's Charity Auction
KL Rahul and his wife have partnered with Vipla Foundation to host an auction of cricket items.
Indian cricket stars Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni have decided to donate some of their historic cricket items in an auction that KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty will be organising for the Vipla Foundation.
The auction will be held online on Pundole on 23rd August 2024, at 6:30 PM IST where cricket fans can buy Dhoni’s signed IPL bat and Kohli’s signed World Cup 2019 jersey.
Rahul and Athiya will be hosting the auction which is called “Cricket for a Cause: To Benefit the Vipla Foundation.” Vipla Foundation is an organization that is committed to empowering underprivileged communities across the country.
Vipla Foundation’s Trustee Mana Shetty said, “This is not just an auction; it’s an opportunity for all of us to come together and make a difference. Some items to be sold in the auction:
27 items have been listed to be auctioned in this event. Some of them are Dhoni’s bat from IPL 2024, Kohli’s jersey from the 2019 World Cup, Rohit Sharma’s bat from last year’s World Cup, and KL Rahul’s bat and gloves from World Cup 2023. These are all signed items by the cricketers.
Other items on this list are Rahul Dravid’s Signed Bat (India’s Tour of England 2011), Jasprit Bumrah’s Signed Team India Jersey (ICC World Cup 2023), Ravichandran Ashwin’s Signed Jersey, Shreyas Iyer’s Signed Cricket Bat, Yuzvendra Chahal’s Signed Rajasthan Royals Jersey (IPL 2024), Rishabh Pant’s Signed Gloves and Cricket Bat, Sanju Samson’s Signed Rajasthan Royals Jersey (IPL 2024), Ravindra Jadeja’s Signed Chennai Super Kings Jersey, a Signed Lucknow Super Giants Cricket Bat (IPL 2024) featuring autographs from the entire LSG team and international players; Jos Buttler’s Signed Rajasthan Royals Jersey (IPL 2024), Quinton de Kock’s Signed Wicket-Keeping Gloves (IPL 2024), Marcus Stoinis’ Signed Cricket Bat, Nicholas Pooran’s Signed Lucknow Super Giants Jersey (IPL 2024).
The starting bids range from INR 50,000 to INR 3,50,000.
