Mumbai Indians (MI) will begin their journey in Indian Premier League (IPL)2026 with the opening clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The encounter will take place on March 29 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, one day after the tournament opener on March 28.
Hardik Pandya will lead MI in IPL 2026, where they will aim for their record sixth title. With five trophies, they are the joint-most successful team in IPL history. MI won their last title in the 2020 season and have struggled to become the champions for the last five seasons.
Last year, they gave a fabulous performance and reached the playoffs, finishing at the fourth spot in the points table after the league stage. Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Deepak Chahar will lead the team’s pace attack. Mitchell Santner, Sherfane Rutherford, and Shardul Thakur are a few key all-rounders in their squad.
