Mumbai Indians are all set to lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator of the IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians (MI) are having a decent time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Hardik Pandya-led side has reached the playoffs of the tournament and would be eyeing their record 6th title this year, after having a tough last few seasons.

Under Hardik Pandya‘s leadership, the Mumbai Indians got off to a slow start in the ongoing IPL 2025. The five-time champions had just one game out of their first five games, and not many gave them a chance to reach the playoffs. But they made up for their slow start and won six games in a row.

Mumbai Indians made a dominating comeback and ended the league stage on a high, they booked their berth in the playoffs. The Hardik Pandya-led side had a great chance to seal their place in Qualifier 1, but they missed the opportunity and hence, they will now play in the Eliminator.

Mumbai Indians will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator of the IPL 2025. The match between the two teams is all set to take place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh on Friday, May 30.

As the Mumbai Indians face the Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator of the IPL 2025, let’s take a look at their record in the eliminator over the years.

Mumbai Indians have played the eliminator four times in the IPL. Their first encounter came in 2011 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, they accepted that challenge and won the match by a margin of 4 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Mumbai had the same fate in IPL 2012 as well, as they played the Eliminator for the second straight season. But this time around, things didn’t go their way as they went on to lose the game against Chennai Super Kings by 38 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In the Eliminator of IPL 2014, Mumbai lost to Chennai Super Kings again. They went on to lose the game by 7 wickets at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians also played the Eliminator in 2023 against Lucknow Super Giants. However, they produced a magical effort in that game as they won by 81 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
