Mumbai Indians full squad for IPL 2024 after auction
Hardik Pandya will lead Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 2024.
Mumbai Indians, who have won IPL five times, secured third position in IPL 2023 with 16 points and eight wins in their league games. They won the match against Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminators at Chepauk, earning a spot against Gujarat Titans in the qualifier 2. Unfortunately, Mumbai couldn’t clinch a victory in the crucial encounter against Titans, leading to their elimination from the tournament. The absence of Jasprit Bumrah, who missed the entire season of IPL due to injury, was felt. However, he is now back and set to play in IPL 2024.
Before the auction, Mumbai successfully traded Hardik from Gujarat in an all-cash deal and transferred Green to RCB. In return, Mumbai acquired an improved version of Indian star, who was let go in 2022. The five-time champions also made a trade for Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants. Additionally, Mumbai Indians made a significant announcement that Hardik Pandya would be leading the side in the upcoming season.
