Netherlands will face South Africa on Tuesday in match 15 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Netherlands had a remarkable performance in the World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe, and they qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. They are the only associate national team in the ongoing tournament. They have not started well and lost both of their opening matches.

They have lost to Pakistan and New Zealand. But their next challenge is even bigger because they have to face South Africa. Notably, Netherlands beat South Africa during the 2022 T20 World Cup and kicked them out of the tournament, which will be in their minds. We will talk about the predicted playing XI for the Netherlands against South Africa.

SA vs NED: Netherlands' Predicted playing XI vs South Africa

1. Vikramjit Singh :

The 20-year-old opener, Vikramjit Singh, scored a half-century in his World Cup debut game against Pakistan. But he got out cheaply against New Zealand. Vikram has scored 64 runs in two innings and can look struggling at times. But he has runs under his belt and will be confident enough to do well against South Africa.

2. Max O'Dowd :

Max O'Dowd is an experienced player in this line-up, but he hasn't gotten going until now. He is a big player and has struggled on slow pitches. But he will like the ball coming onto the bat in Dharamsala and can score quickly if he gets going. Max will be eager to get some runs and score under a pretty good bowling attack.

3. Colin Ackermann :

Colin Ackermann has been a standout performer so far. The veteran has had decent outings so far. He has scored 86 runs at an average of 43 with the bat and also picked up two wickets with the ball. Thus, he will have a big impact in the game, and his role will be pretty crucial against South Africa.

4. Bas de Leede :

Bas de Leede will be the x-factor on this team, with both bat and ball. The all-rounder has been in brilliant form and has shown that in two games. De Leede has scored 85 runs at an average of 42.50 and also picked up five wickets with the ball. A lot will depend on how he performs, and South Africa will have to make plans against him.

5. Teja Nidamanuru :

Teja Nidamanuru has looked out of sorts so far. He has scored 21 and 5 in two games, but he is a big player and can make an impact with the bat. His century in the record chase against West Indies in the qualifier is still fresh, and his team will hope he repeats something similar.

6. Scott Edwards (c & wk) :

Scott Edwards will have a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. As a captain, he is expected to deliver, but he has failed so far and scored 30 runs in two innings. But he has the capability of scoring runs against a good side, and he can be the player to watch out for in the middle-overs.

7. Sybrand Engelbrecht :

Sybrand Engelbrecht played in the last game against New Zealand and looked good for his 29. He was the one who made an impact when Netherlands beat South Africa in the T20 World Cup. So he will feel confident about it. His team will hope that he can play well to score some crucial runs in the middle-overs.

8. Roelof van der Merwe :

It is very rare to see an ex-teammate face his own team in a World Cup. But Roelof van der Merwe will be the key for Netherlands. He played for South Africa before switching countries. Van der Merwe can be a challenging bowler to face because of his tight line and length, and he can make an impact with the ball.

9. Ryan Klein :

Ryan Klein played in the last game in the absence of Logan van Beek and is expected to play against South Africa as well. Born in Cape Town, Klein is a capable bowling all-rounder and has a knack for picking up key wickets. His role will be clear with the bat, as he is the finisher in the team, and then he will be required to bowl some useful overs.

10. Aryan Dutt :

Aryan Dutt put pressure on New Zealand in the last game at the start with the new ball. It is very hard for a spinner to bowl in the power-play, but he has done well and taken three wickets. Being an off-spinner, he can put pressure on De Kock, and if Aryan can take his wicket, it will be a dream start for Netherlands.

11. Paul van Meekeren :

Paul van Meekeren is the new ball bowler for Netherlands and was part of the team that beat South Africa in the 2022 T20 World Cup. He has had some decent performances so far and has taken three wickets. His first role is to take a couple of wickets at the start to help Netherlands get going.
