MI finished in fourth spot in the league stage and qualified for the playoffs. Out of 14 encounters, the five-time champions bagged eight victories and lost six games. They ended with 16 points in their kitty.
In the Eliminator clash, MI outplayed Gujarat Titans (GT) by 20 runs. Opting to bat first, MI posted 228/5 in the first innings with Rohit Sharma’s 81-run knock. Later, they restricted GT to 208/6 in the second innings.
