Top five player battles to watch out for in RCB vs LSG match No. 15 in IPL 2024

They will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 2 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. RCB is currently in ninth place and needs to win this game. On the other hand, LSG started with a defeat but are coming off a win in the last game. So they will look to carry on the momentum.

1. Virat Kohli vs Naveen-ul-Haq

One match-up that everyone will be waiting for will be with the new ball. Virat Kohli will be up against Naveen-ul-Haq. These two had an exchange of words when they faced each other last time in the IPL. But everything was cleared when they met at World Cup 2023 but still, both are fiery characters and will look to get the better of each other. Naveen has dismissed Kohli once in T20Is.

2. Faf du Plessis vs Mohsin Khan

Being a right-hander, it is not easy to play a tall left-arm seamer, and Mohsin Khan can be such a bowler who can cause trouble for the RCB skipper. Faf du Plessis is not in the best of form and has only scored 46 runs in three innings and he will be facing Mohsin with the new ball, who can get him out cheaply early. Mohsin has bowled one ball to Du Plessis in the IPL and has dismissed him on that delivery. So it can be another occasion where he can get the better of him.

3. Glenn Maxwell vs Ravi Bishnoi

Another important battle will be in the middle overs, when Glenn Maxwell will face Ravi Bishnoi. Both players are attacking with their respective skills. But these two are yet to get going in the IPL 2024. So the RCB vs LSG can be a game where these two can do well. Maxwell likes to target spinners, and Bishnoi keeps using his pace to trouble the batters. Maxwell has scored 37 off 20 balls against Bishnoi, and the spinner has gotten him out once.

4. Quinton de Kock vs Mohammed Siraj

Quinton de Kock and Mohammed Siraj have faced each other many times at international levels and in the IPL as well. This is going to be another amazing battle. De Kock is coming off a match-winning fifty in the last game and will look to carry on. However, Siraj can be a tricky bowler to face because of his tight line against left-handers. In the IPL, Siraj has dismissed De Kock two times, and the batter has scored only 23 runs off 21 balls against him.

5. Nicholas Pooran vs Alzarri Joseph

One player who needs to be stopped if RCB want to win is Nicholas Pooran. The Southpaw can single-handedly win it for LSG, and the short boundaries in Bengaluru are nothing to him if he gets going. He will be against his countryman, Alzarri Joseph. These two play for West Indies T20I team. Alzarri has dismissed Pooran twice in the IPL, and the batter has scored 33 runs off 29 balls against him at a strike rate of 113.8.
