List of all players sold & unsold in SA20 2027 auction

The SA20 2027 auction took place on October 7 at the Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The auction of the fifth edition of the SA20 2027 just concluded in Johannesburg. The event took place at the Galleria in Sandton on October 7 (Wednesday). Out of 789 players, only 156 cricketers were shortlisted to feature at the auction.

This list included 75 cricketers from South Africa and 61 overseas stars. Durban’s Super Giants and Paarl Royals had their team completed, and they were just like spectators during the auction event.

The other four teams, Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, and Pretoria Capitals, had to fill 19 spots to take their total of 19 players. JSK and MICT entered the auction in need of six players each.

JSK had the highest purse value of 20.6 million rand, and they ended the auction with some really big names. The auction has ended, and all six teams have locked their squad for the SA20 2027, starting in January.

There were some superstars that were signed during the event. Faf du Plessis, who led Joburg Super Kings in the previous seasons, was resigned by the franchise. He will be back for JSK in the SA20 2027.

But another name that surprised everyone was Kieron Pollard, who has been part of the MI family since beginning and has been picked up by JSK. He will be donning the Super Kings’ jersey in the upcoming season. Uncapped South African all-rounder Jason Rowles became the costliest player.

JSK spent 2.9 million rand during the auction. Wiaan Mulder was another expensive player during the action. MI Cape Town bought him for a price of 2.6 million rand.
