Australia started their campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026 with a win, and now they have finished it with another victory. However, their situation worsened when they suffered consecutive defeats against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, respectively.

Mitchell Marsh and his men beat Oman in the final game of the group stage at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. They won the toss and decided to bowl first. Oman lost their first wicket on the very first ball, and they couldn’t recover from there.
They were bowled out for just 104 runs in 16.2 overs, with Zampq picking up 4/21 and Glenn Maxwell (2/13) and Xavier Bartlett (2/27) also contributing.
Australia made a mockery of the target and reached 108/1 in just 9.4 overs. Captain Mitchell Marsh scored an unbeaten 64 off 33, and Travis Head supported him well with his 19-ball 32. With this, Australia ended the tournament with a win.
