Rahul Dravid’s tenure as India head coach ended with the T20 World Cup 2024 win.
Former India head coach Rahul Dravid didn’t waste any time getting into his next assignment as he visited a local cricket academy in Bengaluru to inspire other young budding cricketers. This was the first time Dravid was seen in public after the T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade in Mumbai.
Rahul Dravid made his international debut in 1996 and played for India till 2012, but winning a World Cup was his dream. He fulfilled that dream as a coach, which was also his final act as head coach of the Indian team.
Under Dravid’s guidance, India qualified for the semis of the T20 World Cup 2022, went into the final of the 2021-233 World Test Championship, won the Asia Cup 2023, and reached the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Following the agony of the 2007 World Cup as captain and the 2023 World Cup as coach, Dravid had a happy ending with a World Cup triumph to his name.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid visited a cricket academy in Bengaluru and received a warm welcome from the management and budding young cricketers. Dravid received a hero’s welcome and a guard of honor from young cricketers.
The young players and coaching staff at the cricket school paid respect to Dravid, the former India coach. The children raised their bats, and the academy’s coaching staff gave Dravid thunderous applause. The World Cup-winning coach cheerfully shook hands with everyone and smiled as he received a warm reception.
Rahul Dravid’s tenure as India’s head coach came to an end with a T20 World Cup 2024 win as he refused to extend his tenure or reapply for the post citing family obligations. Dravid also expressed his happiness to be back on the ground and nurture emerging talent that is keen to establish a name for themselves in the Indian cricket field.
