Former Indian batters Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag’s son both went against each other in a domestic tournament.

The next generation of legendary Indian cricketers are up against each other in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy. Former Indian skipper and current Indian head coach Rahul Dravid’s on Anvay Dravid and former Indian opener Virender Sehwag’s son Aryavir Sehwag took on each other catching a lot of eyeballs. The clash between the two became much hyped because of the involvement of Anvay Dravid and Aryavir Sehwag.

Just like his father, Aryavir Sehwag slammed a half-century and scored crucial 54 runs in 106 balls with 8 fours and a six. Aryavir Sehwag replicated the game of his father in his innings and out of 56 runs, 38 runs were scored with boundaries. Aryavir Sehwag added a crucial partnership with Arnav. They both added 89 runs for the opening wicket. Aryavir impressed everyone with his magnificent batting performance.

Rahul Dravid’s son failed against Delhi

Former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay Dravid has been trusted as captain of Karnataka under-16 side. He had a disappointing game as he failed to open his account in the scorecard. Anvay Dravid was cleaned up by Ayush Lakra on the second ball he faced. Ayush dismissed Anvay Dravid twice in the game. Ayush got Anvay out in the second innings as well. Rahul’s son Anvay Dravid had a disappointing game as he managed to score only 11 runs in the second innings.

Recently an image went viral where current Indian head coach Rahul Dravid was watching the game from the sidelines before leaving for South Africa. Rahul Dravid’s image went viral with his wife Vijayta Dravid. Rahul Dravid was willing not to join India camp again as he wanted to spend time with his son and his family. He was once again convinced by BCCI president and Dravid joined Indian team as head coach for the second term.

Half-centuries from Aryavir Sehwag and one of his colleagues Kirit Kaushik put Delhi in a commanding position against Karnataka in Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy. Delhi Under-16 side is third in the tournament points table while the Karnataka Under-16 side sits fourth in the table. Aryavir Sehwag has been in decent run in the tournament while Anvay Dravid needs one innings under his name in the juniors tournament.
