India A defeated Australia A by five wickets in the second unofficial test.

India A crushed Australia A by five wickets in the second unofficial test on Friday, September 26 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan grabbed the limelight in the second innings with their centuries as they helped the team chase a huge total of 412 runs.

Led by Dhruv Jurel, India A won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. In the first innings, Australia A piled up 420/10 with half-centuries by captain Nathan McSweeney (74), Jack Edwards (88), and Todd Murphy (76). Manav Suthar executed a brilliant job in bowling, clinching a five-wicket haul.

India A suffered a shocking batting collapse in the first innings, losing their middle-order cheaply. After Sai Sudharsan, who batted at three, hit a brilliant knock of 75 runs, Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel, and Nitish Reddy lost their wickets for just one run each. India A were bowled out for 194 runs in the end, with Australian pacer Henry Thornton clinching a four-wicket haul.

In the second innings, Australia A failed to replicate their batting performance from the previous innings and were bowled out for just 185 runs. McSweeney (85*) and Josh Philippe (50) were the only two batters to reach half-centuries, while other batsmen lost their wickets cheaply.

Gurnoor Brar and Manav Suthar did a fantastic job in bowling, getting three wickets each. Despite a low total, Australia A managed to set a massive target of 412 runs for India A.

During the challenging chase, India A openers N Jagadeesan and KL Rahul etched an opening stand of 85 runs. Rahul went on to score an unbeaten 176, playing a big role in the victory. Sai Sudharsan (100) gave him awesome support with his century.

Later, skipper Jurel (56) hammered a half-century as India A captured an impressive victory by five wickets. Winning the second game, India A won the two-match series 1-0. The first unofficial test between both sides ended in a draw. Now, both teams will clash in three unofficial ODI games from September 30 to October 5.
