Match No. 62 of the IPL 2024, RCB vs DC, is scheduled to be played in Bengaluru on May 12.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match No. 62 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on May 12, 2024, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB are presently seventh in the points table, having won five of their twelve games. They’ve won each of their last four games. Bengaluru won their last encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 60 runs.

DC, on the other side, rank fifth with six wins in twelve games. They’ve won three of their previous four games, including a 20-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR).

To give themselves the best chance of finishing in the top four, Delhi must win both of their matches. DC will be without captain Rishabh Pant, who has been suspended for a match for the third time this season owing to the team’s slow overrate offense.

RCB v DC: Bengaluru Weather Report on Sunday, May 12

The match is supposed to be an exciting one as both the teams are vying to stay alive in the race for the IPL 2024 playoffs. However, there is a chance that rain may play spoilsport in both the teams’ plans. Axar Patel will captain DC and this will fire the team up more.

According to Accuweather, there is a 54% probability of precipitation in Bengaluru on Sunday, May 12 in the evening. According to the hourly forecast, it will be cloudy between 7 and 9 p.m. until the rain hits again. Weather.com also shows an isolated thunderstorm between 9 and 10 p.m., followed by cloudy skies from 10 to 11 p.m. However, there will be rain, and the game will most likely be shortened, like it was on Saturday in Kolkata.

Even if the game starts on schedule, there is likely to be a disruption in between, which seems challenging with rain on the radar until around 6:30 PM, one hour before the start time. If it rains, the officials will wait for it to stop entirely, and the time it takes the groundsmen to adequately prepare it will also be a major influence.

Rain is expected to disrupt the match from start to finish, so the M Chinnaswamy Stadium’s excellent drainage system should come in handy.
