RCB vs PBKS: RCB playing XI vs PBKS, Match 6, IPL 2024 - Predicted
Match No. 6 of IPL 2024 will host a RCB vs PBKS clash on Monday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
All ten teams played one game each in the first five games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Five teams won, while five teams started with a defeat. However, one team that had poor game was Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB lost the tournament’s opener against the defending champion Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
But they will feel confident enough to bounce back, as they will be back at home for their second game. RCB will face Punjab Kings (PBKS), who are coming off a win, on Monday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Here we will talk about the possible XI for the hosts in RCB vs PBKS clash on Monday.
RCB vs PBKS: Bangalore’s playing XI vs PBKS
1. Faf du Plessis (C)
Faf du Plessis started the IPL 2024 in a brilliant fashion and looked good in the first game for his 35 off 23. But he got out at the wrong time, and that affected the team’s momentum. But he will look to make it big this time around and take on PBKS at the home venue and get two points for the team.
2. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli has been the most successful batter at Chinnaswamy, and he will have a job on his shoulders to give a good start to the team. He looked rusty against CSK. However, he will be looking to deliver on Monday, and a good knock from Virat can assure a good position for RCB.
3. Rajat Patidar
Rajat Patidar struggled in the test series and started the IPL 2024 with a duck. But he will feel confident playing at Chinnaswamy, where he has found enough success. RCB would want him to get into form, and we all know what he can do on his day.
4. Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell registered his first duck against CSK and got out while playing a dab to the third man. But he is too good of a player to miss out on two consecutive occasions. He is coming off a good international season, and we might see a Maxwell special on Monday. He can win the game single-handedly for his team.
5. Cameron Green
The Australian all-rounder had a hard time with the bat in the first game and scored a 22-ball 18. He got out before he could take it in. But Cameron Green bowled well for his 2-27. His dual role is very important for the team, and he is certainly a game-changer for RCB.
6. Anuj Rawat (wk)
Anuj Rawat surprised everyone with the knock he played. Not many thought that he could come and take the game away, but his 48 off 25 pushed RCB to a challenging score. He would have gotten confident from that knock and will look to carry on the momentum.
7. Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik was in action after almost one year of his commentary stint, but he looked good from the start. An unbeaten 38 off 26 deliveries in the first game came at an important time. His form will be crucial going forward, and we might see some more sixes on Monday from DK’s bat.
8. Karn Sharma
The role of Karn Sharma will be very crucial because he is the premier spinner for RCB. He bowled two overs against CSK and took one wicket. A leg-spinner is always a wicket-taking option for teams, and he can bowl a good spell to help his team get two points on the board.
9. Alzarri Joseph
Alzarri Joseph didn’t have a great debut for RCB, and he went for plenty in the opening game without picking up a single wicket. But he can be very hard to pick when he is in good rhythm. RCB are likely to give him two consecutive games and hope that he can deliver on Monday.
10. Mayank Dagar
Mayank Dagar was picked in the first game but was under-bowled. He just bowled two overs and gave up only six runs, showing that he has the skills to contain the batters. However, his biggest challenge will be to bowl at Chinnaswamy. But he is capable enough to do well with the ball.
11. Mohammed Siraj
Mohammed Siraj didn’t have a great opening game. He went for 38 runs and couldn’t take a wicket. But Siraj will feel good about bowling in Bengaluru. His numbers are good here, and he knows the dynamics of playing here and using the condition well. So he can be a very challenging bowler to face up front.
