Top 5 records achieved by Rohit Sharma in 2025

Rohit Sharma retired from Test cricket in May 2025.

In May, he retired from Test cricket, bringing to a close a professional career that spanned 67 matches. During a three-match ODI series against Australia, Shubman Gill was given the captaincy of the Men in Blue. However, Sharma was named the Player of the Series against the Aussies.
The 38-year-old was also a crucial part of the ODI series against South Africa, and he’s currently playing in the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Thus, taking a look back at 2025, here are the top 5 records achieved by Rohit Sharma in 2025.
5. Became the player with the most sixes in ODI cricket

During the 2025 Champions Trophy final against New Zealand, Rohit’s innings of 76 runs off 83 balls, which included seven fours and three sixes, helped India win the match and seal the tournament title. Due to his stellar performance, Sharma was named the Player of the Match.
Before the former Mumbai Indians skipper, Clive Lloyd, for the West Indies (1975 ICC ODI World Cup), Ricky Ponting for Australia (2003 ICC ODI World Cup), and Mahendra Singh Dhoni for India (2011 ICC ODI World Cup) were awarded with the coveted prize in an ICC tournament final.
