Delhi Capitals are already out of the IPL 2023 playoffs race.

Delhi Capitals (DC) will be in their last match of the IPL 2023 season against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Delhi on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings by 15 runs in their most recent match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. They will be eager to maintain their winning streak against CSK and finish the season on a high note by thrashing the four-time champions.

DC's season got off to a bad start as they lost their first five games. However, they produced a spectacular recovery, winning four of their following five games. However, they were ousted from the tournament after losses to CSK and PBKS in their respective 11th and 12th games.

CSK needs to win the IPL 2023 game in order to advance to the playoffs and have a chance to place in the top two teams throughout the league stage. If MS Dhoni's team loses their last game, RCB and MI will decide whether or not they qualify for the next round based on the results of their respective remaining games.

Since 2020, the franchise has worn this jersey once every season to celebrate the diversity of India. In the previous season, they sported the jersey during the second half of their campaign against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and auctioned them later to raise funds for the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) in Vijayanagar, Karnataka.

The tradition of wearing the rainbow-themed jersey began in IPL 2020 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and it continued in 2021 against the Mumbai Indians (MI).
