"Jeet gaye.." Rinku Singh posts emotional message after India beat Pakistan in a thriller at ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Rinku Singh is with the Indian squad in America as a travelling reserve.

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh posted an emotional video and message on his Instagram after the Men In Blue recorded a six-run victory over Pakistan in New York in their Group A encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

On Sunday, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, Rohit Sharma’s team recorded one of India’s most famous wins in IND vs PAK matches as they defended 119 runs successfully.

Led by spearhead pacer Jasprit Bumrah, India restricted Pakistan to 113/7. Bumrah returned with astonishing figures of 3/14, Hardik Pandya took two wickets, while Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel bagged a wicket each.

Rinku has been picked to travel with the Indian squad in the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies as a travelling reserve. He was present in the stands at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and witnessed India’s memorable win over Babar Azam’s side.

Rinku posted a video of India’s winning moment with the famous song ‘Lehra do’. He captioned his post, “Hum jeet gaye 🇮🇳🥹❤️”

Talking about the IND vs PAK match, Rishabh Pant’s 42 dragged India to 119. In reply, Pakistan were looking comfortable at 72/2 after 12 overs. But from thereon, India’s bowlers applied a squeeze, containing the runs and taking wickets regularly.

Bumrah pushed India front in the match in the penultimate over when he dismissed Iftikhar Ahmed and conceded only four runs. Hardik was exceptional, too, with his hard lengths.

When asked about Bumrah, captain Rohit Sharma said, “He’s going from strength to strength. We all know what he can do. Not going to talk too much about him. Want him to be in that mindset throughout the WC. He’s a genius, we all know that.”
