Rinku Singh had broken the bat he received from Virat Kohli earlier during the IPL 2024.

An internet video caused quite a commotion among cricket fans before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 return match between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Kolkata. Rinku Singh asked Virat Kohli nicely for a replacement bat in a viral video. The reason for this request is that Rinku broke the bat that Virat gave him ahead of the match in Bengaluru.

Rinku Singh told Virat Kohli the truth about what happened to the bat he got from the latter. Rejecting Rinku’s request, Kohli made it clear that he was angry about the incident and that Rinku had broken the bat that he had given him.

However, Rinku was adamant about getting another bat from Kohli, so he continued arguing for his appeal. To guarantee Kohli that he will handle the bat with the utmost care, he went to extreme measures, including swearing that he won’t break the bat again.

The interaction between Rinku and Kohli went viral and fans labeled it as perfect relation between a younger and an elder brother. That was not it, even after the match got over at the Eden Gardens, between the two sides where the hosts beat the visitors by just one run, Rinku was seen following Kohli trying to persuade him for the bat. There was no news if Kohli had given his bat to Rinku following the match.

However, in a latest social media video shared by KKR, Rinku proudly displayed his new bat to a fan. So, finally, it is confirmed that Kohli has indeed gifted him a new bat. The fan asked: “Rinku Bhai, Bat mila?”. Rinku showed him the bat and said: “Mil Gaya.”
