Indian captain Rohit Sharma has become the quickest batter to score 1000 World Cup runs.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has unleashed his brute power-hitting ability against Afghanistan in a 273-run chase. Rohit has dominated Afghanistan bowling attack in the first power-play. He has been on a record-breaking streak with his power-hitting against Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi. Indian captain had a terrific campaign in the 2019 World Cup, as he ended up being the leading run-scorer in that edition with 647 runs and 5 centuries in 10 games. He took just 19 innings in the tournament's history to complete 1000 runs. Rohit is the quickest Indian batter to reach this milestone in the mega event.
