Sandeep Sharma's brilliant catch to dismiss Suryakumar Yadav brought life to Rajasthan Royals' camp

Sandeep Sharma has been more than effective this season with the ball in his hand. Be it bowling up front in the powerplay or be it the death overs, Sandeep has delivered for his team thus far. He was once again under the light but this time when he took a catch. Suryakumar Yadav, who was going bonkers and smashing the ball all around the park was sent packing to the dugout, courtesy of a brilliant running catch from Sandeep Sharma.

It required a special effort to dismiss a special player's special innings and Sandeep Sharma did exactly the same. In the 16th over, when the match was slipping toward Mumbai Indians, Trent Boult bowled a shortish delivery outside off. Suryakumar tried to scoop it over the short fine leg but ended up looping it in the air behind Sandeep Sharma who ran back, covered a fair distance, and completed a diving catch in the end.

With the fall of Suryakumar's wicket, the tails of RR were up and they sensed inroads in the game. As touted by the pundits, fans, and commentators, that catch can be among the contention of the best catches of the season.

Suryakumar Yadav shines for Mumbai Indians with yet another half-century

Chasing 212 runs was always going to be an uphill task even for a team like MI that boasts of a formidable batting unit. They did not have the best of starts as they lost their skipper, Rohit Sharma early into their innings. Cameron Green and Ishan Kishan continued the innings with a solid partnership. Then after Ishan's dismissal, walked in Suryakumar Yadav.

Right from the word go, Suryakumar made his intentions very clear as he started to smoke the ball around the Wankhede Stadium. He was the only half-centurion for his team in this chase with the score of 55 runs off just 29 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes.
